WUSC Meeting - Sri Lanka 2008

“That which is not explored is lost” which speaks the ideal words about Sri Lanka's wilderness. Most of the acres and acres of wild have yet to be explored and studied in this little isle which still springs pleasant surprises on its visitors.

Kuda oyais one such place in Sri Lanka which proudly houses Sri Lanka's only camping style open air leisure accommodation within a well secluded jungle hide out.

Seemingly away from civilization yet close to heart, the camping style leisure Hotel is one of Sri Lanka's few well kept secrets.

Bordered by the winding Kirindi Oya which demarcates on the South the property has the uniqueness of being surrounded by the Lunugamvehera and Uda Walawe Sanctuaries. Both Wild Life Parks are world famous and you could sight a lot of elephants, deer, wild buffalo, bear and birds endemic to Sri Lanka.

Adventure Tours

The Wild Life Parks, Uda Walawe, Yala and Lunugamvehera are sites to see. Buduruwagala in Moneragala, Buttala Bird Sanctuary, Kirinda Beach, Thanamalwila Lake, Kataragama and many other places of interest and archeological sights will keep the visitor awfully involved.

Also closer to the many text book places of interest in Sri Lanka but is ideally suited for that nature lover who likes to wander around the wilds, cycle or do canoeing or just cuddle on to a hammock and read away.
